Taryn Burns is a yoga teacher (500 RYT) and Yoga for Athletes Specialist based in Boston, MA. She started practicing yoga in 2014 while training for her first half marathon. Over the next few years she found the more frequently she attended classes, the more she wanted to learn and deepen her own practice. She completed her 500 hour certification under the guidance of her teacher Michele Loew at The Yoga Space in Portland, OR in December 2017.
Taryn also focuses on Yoga for Athletes, with additional specialized training and mentorship under Sage Rountree. She works with high school, collegiate and professionals alike, collaborating closely with individuals and teams to create yoga programs that will compliment their training for peak performance.
Thoughtful sequencing, concise verbal cues and hands-on-assists create a welcoming class environment which is comfortable for all levels of students. Beginners are eased into the practice with a range of modifications, while more advanced students are continually encouraged to explore new variations within poses.
In addition to practicing with students in privately or in group classes, Taryn also offers classes on FitRadio - the number 1 music fitness app in the App Store.
When she's not practicing and teaching yoga you'll find Taryn enjoying time with friends and family, exploring Boston's restaurants and coffee shops or planning her next globe trotting adventure.
